Cynthia Canary helped found ICPR in 1997 and served as executive director until 2011. After leaving, she served on Mayor Emanuel’s ethics task force. Prior to her work at ICPR, she served as executive director of the League of Women Voters of Illinois, where she helped Illinois implement the National Voter Registration Act. Ms. Canary has also worked in the Public Education Division of the American Bar Association.
