Big spenders see mixed results in primary elections
Big spenders in the recent primary elections saw mixed results; however, the effects of money were still evident. “Money isn’t everything, but it’s still really important. Most of the people who won were still prolific fundraisers even if they got outspent by super PACs or other groups,” said RFI Executive Director Alisa Kaplan.
The effects of big spending reached individual voters as well. “All this money isn’t getting people excited and motivated to vote for these candidates,” she said. “It’s exhausting and stressful.”
