Big spending in competitive primary race leaves neighbors inundated with mailers
RFI Executive Director Alisa Kaplan spoke with Block Club Chicago about the competitive 20th Senate District primary and the high volume of mailers sent by candidates – a tactic that has frustrated some neighbors.
“Candidates will try to reach voters any way they can, and especially in a media environment [where] there are not a lot of reliable options,” Kaplan said. “There’s only a handful of things you can spend money on, and mailers is one of those things.”
