Ethics reform is common sense.

The Committee on Ethics and Government Oversight voted to pass a series of reforms to Chicago’s Governmental Ethics Ordinance, including: prohibiting city employees from being coerced for political contributions, expanding a prohibition on city property being used in campaign advertisements, and more. RFI Associate Director Bijan Terani delivered public comment on the package.

“They [the reforms] are matters of common sense,” Terani said. “But the deeper problems remain.”
