RFI Board President talks RCV
RFI’s lawsuit to implement ranked choice voting (RCV) in Evanston was refiled on February 20th. In an interview with the Evanston RoundTable, RFI Board President David Melton said that he hoped for a circuit court ruling within “the next two to three months” and an appellate ruling “well before the end of the year,” which could allow for RCV to be implemented in time for the 2027 elections in Evanston and other cities.
