RFI ED comments on Argo Board Member resignation
In an interview with Patch, RFI Executive Director Alisa Kaplan weighed in on a situation involving an Argo Community High School board member who resigned and later accepted a job with the school.
“[T]his type of situation is not uncommon because of the expertise and interest that board members bring to the business the board is involved in,” she said. “Boards waive similar conflicts all the time. Given that the board member resigned before she was hired, I don’t see a big ethical issue here, at least not in the absence of information indicating otherwise.”
