RFI ED talks weaknesses in campaign finance, ethics laws and Madigan
RFI ED Alisa Kaplan spoke with The Center Square’s Greg Bishop about the weaknesses in Illinois’s campaign finance and ethics laws, as well as the consequences of corruption, after former Illinois House Speaker Madigan’s indictment this week.
“The Legislature should be able to make people accountable for behavior that’s not necessarily criminal, in this case, it turns out that it was, but still perhaps a breach of the public trust,” she said.
