RFI ED weighs in on Burr Ridge Trustee’s use of official Facebook page

An article from Patch detailed how Burr Ridge Trustee Tony Schiappa used his Facebook page, listed as a “Government & Public Service” account, to promote school board candidates. RFI Executive Director Alisa Kaplan commented on his behavior:

“It’s common for elected officials to campaign for themselves or others on their own time – there’s nothing wrong with that,” she said. “But they need to set up personal or campaign pages to do so.”
