RFI ED weighs in on Chicago aviation department ethics concerns
RFI Executive Director Alisa Kaplan spoke with Fox 32 Chicago about ethics concerns raised by an email and flyer soliciting cash donations sent to Department of Aviation employees for a birthday celebration for First Deputy Commissioner Tracey Payne.
“It’s not something I would have liked to receive as an employee,” she said. “And I could see how it would put pressure on the employees to do something that they might not necessarily want to do…. [Y]our position in the workplace shouldn’t be based on whether you donated to their birthday gift or anything like that.”
