RFI Executive Director comments on Mayor Johnson’s “pending” Springfield lobbyist team
RFI Executive Director Alisa Kaplan spoke with the Chicago Tribune about three lobbyists who worked with the Johnson administration during the most recent legislative session but did not register to lobby on behalf of the city in the Illinois General Assembly.
“The point of requiring lobbyists to register is to let the public know who’s getting paid to influence their representatives. And we should have that information while it’s happening, not after the fact,” she said.
