Sun-Times: New election law allows campaign funds to be used for child and dependent care
Thanks to a provision in the recently-signed elections omnibus law, candidates for public office will now be able to use campaign funds to cover the cost of caring for a child or dependent family member, reducing a barrier to entry into politics that has disproportionately impacted women.
