“Super PACs have started making their play in Illinois’ upcoming March 15 primary election. Some $336,000 has collectively been spent by the groups for the primary races, according to the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform.
The Liberty Principles PAC, an independent expenditures committee, has spent more than $325,000 on ads since the start of the year, while the Illinois Republican Party has spent a little more than $10,000 on campaign mailers since January 1. The data comes from filings made to the state Board of Elections. ”
