Talk is cheap with ethics reform
Speaking with Celeste Bott of Law360, RFI ED Alisa Kaplan said that the response of legislators to former Illinois House Speaker Mike Madigan’s indictment has been promising, but that significant reforms are still needed.
“We’ve had decades of scandals in Illinois, but there was just one scandal after another the last few years, and we still didn’t get anywhere near the changes we needed,” Kaplan said. “If this isn’t going to do it, what is?”
